Recreating Leyndell Royal Capital in Paper

Artist Sky Burkson has recreated the Leyndell Royal Capital location from Elden Ring using paper, toothpicks, wool, and other components. Burkson’s miniature model of the iconic Elden Ring location shows off a remarkable amount of detail. From the skillful sculpting of the buildings to the overgrown roots wrapping around them, Burkson has clearly put a lot of care and detail into the piece.

The papercraft model also features lights placed throughout, including one like the Erdtree, a giant glowing tree that exists in Elden Ring’s open world. These lights are placed in different sections to look like burning flames, adding to the ambiance and capturing the essence of the location as a place.

Burkson’s papercraft model is constructed from paper, clear resin, basswood, toothpicks, floral wire, wool batting, and tea leaf grounds all on top of a wooden base. Unfortunately, the Leyndell Royal Capital model is not for sale since Burkson says it’s going to its forever home after months of hard work.

Even though you can’t have Burkson’s remarkable piece, Elden Ring fans do have something else to look forward to with FromSoftware’s announcement of the game’s upcoming DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree. While there isn’t much information available on what this expansion will entail, there are indications that it will explore more of the character of Miquella, who is mentioned in the main game but never seen.
