Colin Farrell may not be the first person that comes to mind when thinking of attractive celebrities, but he certainly has his moments. However, his new role as The Penguin in the upcoming movie The Batman is not one of them. Covered in prosthetics and looking like he’s losing his hair, Farrell seems to have lost his natural sex appeal. But recent set photos from the upcoming HBO Max series The Penguin show a different side of Farrell, one that is downright sexy.

An Italian Stallion

The new look for Oswald Cobblepot, or The Penguin, is what the Italians call “molto, molto bene.” Even though Cobblepot is actually of Austrian/Hungarian descent, his new look screams Italian sexiness. Gone are the suits and trench coats from The Batman; instead, Cobblepot is sporting a basic but expensive leather jacket that he clearly had tailored to fit him perfectly. Coupled with a subtle V-neck tee that shows off his ample bosom and tufts of chest hair peeking out from the neckline, Cobblepot looks like he belongs in the early seasons of The Sopranos. He’s the kind of man that owns the oldest Italian restaurant in Brooklyn and won’t serve any of that fettucine alfredo bullshit. No, Capisce?

Acqua di Parma wafts from his body as he approaches, the nasality in his voice calling you “sweethaht” as he asks if he can buy you a drink. His hands are impossibly smooth, the result of a weekly manicure that he graciously tips the nail tech for. He chews on a cigar with the anger of several generations of Blue-collar Italian men coursing through his veins, and he has no problem open-hand slapping another man who talks back and calling him a bastardo while doing it.

He’s the kind of man who would take you out for cacio e pepe and an Aperol spritz, only to drive you two blocks to the restaurant while singing Louis Prima the entire way. He insists on dropping you off at the door, even if there’s a spot a few feet away. He kisses your mother’s hands and calls her una bella donna every time he sees her. In his Cadillac CT5, he shouts an appreciative madone at your outfit, even when you’re just wearing sweats.

The Penguin Limited Series

The Penguin limited series will take place right after the events of The Batman, but it doesn’t have a set release date yet. The eight-episode series will also star Cristin Milioti (Palm Springs), Rhenzy Feliz (Encanto), Michael Kelly (Jack Ryan), Shohreh Aghdashloo (The Expanse), and Clancy Brown (Highlander) as crime boss Salvatore Maroni.

Until we get more images of this Italian pinguino, we’ll keep daydreaming about becoming Oz Cobblebot’s principessa.
