Capcom recently held a “Capcom Spotlight” event on both Twitch and YouTube with a handful of exciting announcements. While the main news of the event had already been leaked (the release of the Resident Evil 4 demo), there were still many intriguing new announcements to keep audiences captivated. Here’s a rundown of everything that was revealed in the Capcom Spotlight stream.

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection

Capcom started the event by showcasing the upcoming Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, which will contain all 10 entries in the Game Boy Advance series. Masakazu Eguchi, the director of the collection, proudly presented the new Buster “MAX” mode and how the game will feature digital versions of the 499 previously physical “Patch” cards. Eguchi also announced the inclusion of online play, making the game more interactive than ever before. The Legacy Collection will be available on Windows, Nintendo Switch, and PS4 from April 14.

Street Fighter 6

Street Fighter 6 made its customary appearance with the reveal of its fourth and final in-match commentator named Hikaru Takahashi. With her addition, there will now be two Japanese and two English announcers. Fans were also treated to a showcase of Marisa, a new character who seems to have an arsenal of impressive moves at her disposal. Street Fighter 6 is due to launch on June 2.

Capcom Town

Capcom announced that it is working on a digital theme park called Capcom Town but it gave no further details on the subject. Capcom also revealed “Capcom ID,” a new login system that players will need to use for online play in certain future games.

Exoprimal

The team-based dino-battling online shooter Exoprimal was showcased again, this time with more emphasis on its story elements. Despite being a non-live service game, with a season pass and copious microtransactions, the game will come to all major platforms except Switch on July 14 and will be on Xbox Game Pass on launch day. Exoprimal’s two-day open beta test will start on March 17.

Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective

Fans of the cult Nintendo DS game Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective got an exciting glimpse of its HD remaster. The game comes to Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and Windows on June 30.

Monster Hunter Rise Schedule

The Sunbreak expansion for Monster Hunter Rise got a release date for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X of April 28, 2023. Capcom also confirmed that it would hold another event in April to discuss the next major update, version 1.5.

Resident Evil: Death Island

A brief snippet of the upcoming CG film Resident Evil: Death Island was shown, and it appears to be just as terrifying as fans were hoping for. The main protagonist from Resident Evil 1, Jill Valentine, returns to the franchise in this movie which will be available this summer.

Resident Evil 4 Demo

Finally, the main event of the stream: Resident Evil 4’s demo is out today. Fans can play infinitely without any time or launch restrictions in the iconic scene of the starting village. The demo is now available on Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
