UFC 285 Recap: Jon Jones and Alexa Grasso Capture Championship Belts

UFC 285 Recap: Two New Champions Crowned

UFC 285 featured some of the most exciting fights in recent memory, with two new champions emerging from the event. Alexa Grasso shocked the world by defeating Valentina Shevchenko in the fourth round to become the new women’s flyweight champion. Grasso is the only fighter in the division to defeat Shevchenko and the only one to ever finish her as well.

In the main event, Jon Jones made his highly anticipated return to the octagon, taking on former interim heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane. Despite concerns about his abilities after a three-year layoff and moving up a weight class, Jones put on a dominant performance, overwhelming Gane with his pressure and securing a first-round guillotine choke.

With this victory, Jones is now a two-division champion and will be taking on former heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic at International Fight Week in July.
