The UFC Announced UFC 288 to Take Place in Newark, NJ
The UFC is returning to Newark, NJ at the Prudential Center for the first time in 4 years, with a stacked fight card that has all MMA fans excited. The event is set to take place on a Saturday night, with the main event being a championship for the bantamweight title between Aljamain Sterling and Triple C Henry Cejudo. Cejudo will be making his comeback in this fight after a three-year break since retiring from the sport. Sterling has been dominant since winning the title over Petr Yan and will look to continue his reign as champion. The co-main event will feature Charles Oliveira and Beneil Dariush as they battle it out for the number one contender spot in the lightweight division. Oliveira is looking to bounce back after losing the title to Dustin Poirier, while Dariush is on a six-fight winning streak and hoping for his title shot soon.
